entierráronse amantes, e las aguas
cholas abrieron sus vertientes alumbrando, a sorbos
nombrándose, a solas e diciéndose: aguas buenas, aguas
lindas, ay pero violadas somos aguas Rahue,
plorosas Pilmaiquén, floridas e parteras e aún felices
las arroyos que atraviesan como liebres
los montes e los cerros.
E torcazos el mesmo amor pronto ayuntáronse
los Inallao manantiales
verdes, las Huaiquipán bravías
mieles, los Llanquilef veloces
ojos, las Relequeo pechos
zorzales, las Huilitraro quillay
pelos tordos, los Paillamanque
raulíes nuevos.
Huilliche amor, anoche amaron más
a plena chola arboladura, a granado
cielo indio perpetuo
amáronse, amontañados
como aguas potras e como anchimallén encendidos, al alba
aloroso amáronse,
endulzándose el germen lo mesmo
que vasijas repletas de muday.
